Members enjoy both Squash and Racketball. Some even play both!
Wellington are well represented in the Somerset Leagues and have our own internal squash boxes so there is plenty of opportunity for competitive squash at all levels as well as the abundance of social squash that is enjoyed by the majority of members.
The Coaching at the club is under the direction of Level Two coach Andy Anderson. The coaching programme caters for all standards and ages with both group and individual sessions.
Coaching for juniors [from 5yrs] takes place on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings. All levels included.
The UK’s fastest growing sport, Racketball already has massive participation levels at other squash clubs around the UK.
Wellington Squash and Racketball Club is embracing this flourishing sport and aiming to provide opportunities for both its current members and those potential members in and around Wellington.
Racketball is easy to pick up and is a great introduction to racket sports in general.
Suitable in particular for young children and ladies as well as older squash players that may be suffering with the rigours of a life on the squash court!
Racketball is great fun for everybody, a great way to meet new people and of course get fit and active. Providing a similar level of intensity to tennis, however the bouncy ball means longer rallies and equally important, no endless ball collecting!
The fact Racketball is played on a squash court also means no chance of rain stopping play, so what are you waiting for?
